A nice ethically naturally sourced Vit CSmall easy to swallow capsulesExcellent quality and potencyRead up on the health benefitsVery good price
I’ve been trying out this Akeso Health Acerola Vitamin C supplement for a few weeks now and it’s been a nice addition to my routine. I was drawn to it mainly because it uses acerola cherries, which are meant to have way more vitamin C than oranges. You get a big hit per serving, which is great if you’re looking to support your immune system naturally. The capsules are easy to take and vegan-friendly, which is always a bonus. I’ve noticed I haven’t picked up the usual sniffles lately, so it might be helping on that front. It’s also meant to support skin and brain health, though those effects are harder to measure short-term. My skin’s been looking a bit fresher, and I’ve been feeling more focused, so there might be something to it.No weird aftertaste or upset stomach, which I’ve had with some other high-dose C supplements. One small gripe is the serving size — you need to take a couple of capsules to hit the full dose, but that’s not unusual with natural sources.Overall, it’s a clean, well-made supplement that ticks the boxes if you’re after a high-potency, plant-based source of vitamin C. Good value too, considering you get 120 capsules in the bottle.
Good high strength vitamin c. This is a great natural supplement for boosting immunity and it is within the recommended daily dose I can find online.
I like getting my vitamin C from this source. Along with the likes of zinc and vitamin D, I feel taking vitamin C in this way adds to boosting my immunity. This is well priced with 120 capsules and I appreciate the fact that it is a vegan supplement. You are taking 2 each day, so this bottle will last a couple of months. It is well priced at £12:99, considering the dosage and also the quality of ingredients. You get a long expiry date so plenty of time to use this supplement up. I am very happy with this supplement in terms of quality and value for money and would be considering buying it again in the future.
I am very familiar with the Acerola (or Barbados) cherry, having lived there for some years previously and having marvelled to learn that just one cherry contains more vitamin C than is needed for a person per day. The price is currently in the low to mid range for a good supplement, at £12.99. I was eager to review this because of the acerola's powerful reputation for providing a rich source of vitamin C and acting as an immune support and a strong antioxidant. So far I have only taken one capsule so cannot say for absolute certain what the long term effect of taking this is going to be, but I am strongly confident that it will be to my benefit health wise. Although the packaging does not state that it is a vegan product, I see nothing in the list of ingredients which suggests otherwise, the capsule shell being made of vegetable cellulose. The capsules smell very slightly fruity and there are 120 per container, so 60 servings at the recommended dose of 2 per day. And that makes them affordable for me. Given that the acerola cherry isn't available to me here in UK, this is a great and convenient way to be able to enjoy its health benefits.
